One double room is available in this beautifully presented 1930s three bedroomed house, situated in a pleasant, quiet road, between Charlton station and Charlton village. The shared accommodation comprises an attractive conservatory extension backing on to a secluded patio garden surrounded by raised flower beds; a well-equipped kitchen with a larder fridge, large freezer, dish washer, oven, separate gas hob, microwave and plenty of storage space for groceries; a living room with TV and DVD as well as a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble drier, bathroom with shower and two WCs.
Your bedroom is a ground floor front room with a bay window. Recently decorated, it has a divan bed, chest of drawers, a table with chair, a desk lamp, bedside table and plenty of cupboard/wardrobe space for storage.
As this is my home, I am keen to find another housemate who shares my passion for music, especially jazz, but provided you're happy living with a jazz pianist (who may be back late) and are friendly you are welcome!
The house is very handy for travelling to Greenwich, where there are wonderful markets, restaurants and riverside pubs. Both Blackheath and the Greenwich Retail Park are only short walks away. Locally there are several delightful parks to visit, including a small zoo.
Trains from Charlton are regular and direct into London, with about 8 per hour in the rush hour times. The journey time to London Bridge is 15-19 minutes with some trains continuing to Waterloo and Charing Cross in approximately 30 minutes. Cannon Street is about 20-25 minutes away. Charlton Station is also 2 stops from Woolwich Arsenal where you can connect to the Elizabeth Line. A frequent bus service from the end of my road gets you to North Greenwich tube next to the O2 arena (Jubilee line and DLR) in about fifteen minutes.
