Hello, my name is Allyn and I am moving down to Brighton to start my first year at WaterBear university. Recently, we found a property that is very close to the city centre (being a 10 minute walk-or-so from the train station) for a very decent price. We had the required 5 people to rent the house but, after the referencing process we found that one of the people in our group who was supposed to move in with us got a bad review from their previous landlord and cannot continue to become a tenant. This means we need a new person ASAP. The company, Eightfold has given us until the 21st to at least FIND a new person.
We are a very chill bunch and we'd love to have someone who shares our passion with music. We have very strong queer and trans presence and although its not required, obviously you need to not be a dick about that stuff. We are all studying some form of musical field at WaterBear, but you do not have to be going to WaterBear to apply.
There are a few things you MUST know - and we understand the cost of moving to this property is very high, but without a 5th tenant we lose the property, and our holding deposits immediately. Here are what the agency requires:
- £100 holding deposit ASAP
- A security deposit of £825 + £715 for first months rent
(the security deposit is due August 8th, and the first months rent on August 25th.)
- An income OR guarantor that earns more than £24,450/year (2.5x property rent).
We understand these are a decent amount of requirements and a very big financial commitments but we are very lovely group of people and we'd love to actually stay with this property given its advantageous location. Do give me a call if you are interested :>
Thank you.
