We are looking for a 3rd person to join us in our beautiful home in a former Church. Niko and I (Conor) have been living together here for a year with Max, who will sadly be leaving in September. We’re searching for someone who would like to make this a happy and supportive home with us.

We are interested in building community in various ways and in embodiment, spiritual exploration, learning, growth, and political change.

More than anything, we value genuine connection. Life can be full, but it’s important to us to be present with each other when we are here. Our house has been a place of grounding and support, and something we have worked together to create.

We both have partners (Laura and Ellie) who are here some of the time, and are very much part of our little community.

We have decorated the house with art which is meaningful to us and Niko has nurtured a thriving population of house plants. We have a rhythm of cooking for each other when we’re around, which is usually a few times a week, but with no hard and fast rules or rota system.

Niko has an allotment very close to the house, and would be glad to share this with another housemate.

We are looking for someone who:

- Wants to be involved and contribute positively to the collective atmosphere of the house. This could be through cooking, sharing your passions, organising events, adding to the space or whatever makes this an even better place to live.

- Will take responsibility for the upkeep and beautification of the space. We’re not strict clean freaks, and we know that sometimes there isn’t time to wash up in the morning, but we like the peacefulness that comes from being in a clean and tidy space, and the willingness to maintain that is important.

- Values conscious communication. We’d like to live with someone who is willing to try to express their needs and boundaries, even when it’s uncomfortable, and is willing to hear others. We would love to live with someone who has familiarity with, or willingness to practice, non-violent communication or similar approaches. This will support us to better handle conflict if it arises.

- Is open and non-judgemental. We like to feel at home and be free to truly be ourselves. We are queer friendly, generally a bit weird, and we wish to make this a home where everyone can bring something different.

Some practicals:

Rent is £655 PCM, for one of the large rooms.
Bills are roughly £133 PCM each.
Parking is shared with other flats, meaning that you can get a space on the driveway often but not always. Failing that, there are streets with parking around the house.

The housemates are:

Conor, (33M). Scottish and Irish. Designer of plasma instruments and facilitator in the world of authentic connection / sacred sexuality. I like wild swimming, coffee and ecstatic dance. I am a massive music nerd.

Niko (32M) Timber Frame Carpenter in training. Loves growing plants, building things, cooking, gathering around a fire, adventures of all kinds.
