Hi everyone!
I’m moving out of my room at the end of August, so we are looking for a new flatmate to take over from 1 September. It's a really nice, good-sized and bright single room with good storage in a well presented split-level flat in a green and quiet residential area in Southfields, with good access to public transport, shops and green spaces.
Location & Transport:
The flat is in a quiet, leafy neighborhood but has good connections:
Tube: Southfields Station (District Line) is a 12-minute walk away.
Buses: Several bus stops are just 2-5 mins away, with direct routes to Putney, Wimbledon, and Clapham Junction (plus night buses to get you home).
Shops etc: Lots of choices within a 5-15 minute walk - Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S, Co-op, bakeries, pharmacies, post office, gym etc.
Also, there’s a beautiful little park with a pond right next to the house and the massive Wimbledon and Putney Commons are just a 2-minute walk away and perfect for running or walks. Wimbledon Park and the famous Tennis grounds are also just 10 mins away.
The Room:
It’s a bright single room that gets morning sunlight and looks out onto a quiet path. While it’s not the biggest room in the world, the storage space is great, with two freestanding cabinets plus two large, hidden built-in wardrobes in the wall. I currently have it set up with a small desk and chair for working from home as well, but it’s super versatile depending on your layout preferences (see extra picture from a previous tenant).
The Flat and flatmates:
You’ll be sharing with four friendly male young professionals in their 20s. Everyone has slightly different work schedules, so we never get in each other's way. It’s a very independent house where everyone mostly does their own thing, but everyone is always up for a chat in the kitchen as well.
The flat itself spans over two floors and has been refurbished. It features:
- A large, open kitchen and living area with sofas and a TV.
- Two shared bathrooms (one with a shower, one without).
- A small balcony which gets the afternoon and evening sun.
Bonus: We have a professional cleaner who comes in every single week to do the bathrooms and communal living spaces, which is included in the rent!
The rent is £710 per calender month, all bills and regular cleaner included.
