I have a HUGE room in a family home to rent which is set up like a bedsit.

The property is fairly newly built (2010) 3 storey townhouse in a nice estate at the north end of Gosforth.

The room I am letting out is on the 2nd floor, features are as follows:

I (48F) work from mainly from home on the ground floor. My partner works monday to saturday 7am to 3pm. My two sons (18 - trans was female) and 10 are here part time and at their dad’s part time. My sons are both polite and well behaved.

Points worth noting:

- it’s probably better suited to those with a car as shops and amenities are a bit of a walk
- your space will be up 2 flights of stairs, just a note for those less agile
- as it’s a family home, I’m not keen on lots of visitors so you’ll need to ask if people are coming around. I’d rather not have partners staying over regularly but occasionally is fine.
- I do have an airbnb space on the ground floor which is fairly popular. Ive always attracted lovely considerate guests and they will be 2 floors down and the most interaction you might have is them leaving or returning via the front door at the same time as you.
- I have rented this room out 5 times now over the last 2.5 years and it has worked really well. I just rent out on the basis that I have a need for a bit more income and they have a need of somewhere nice, clean and pleasant to stay for a while and on the basis of us all showing mutual respect, we can live together happily. Thankfully I have had no issues with previous lodgers and all have left on very good terms.
- its ideal for people looking for something short term or for those who would like their own flat but can't quite afford it yet because the room does feel like its own flat/bedsit.
