Hi! I'm looking for a housemate to share my cosy home with me and my two friendly cats. I work part-time while studying for a counselling degree, and I'm looking for someone who'd enjoy a relaxed, respectful and welcoming home rather than just somewhere to rent a room.
The furnished double room includes a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets, and you're welcome to make it your own. You'll also have access to the shared kitchen, lounge, dining room, garden and a newly renovated bathroom with a washing machine.
Rent:
£660 pcm including bills (student rent would be £550pcm)
Deposit: £650
Bills include:
- gas/electric
- water
- internet
- council tax (Band A)
The house is in NR3 with good access to the city centre, local shops, cafés and public transport. Permit parking may be available but isn't guaranteed.
The house is generally calm day-to-day, though I do occasionally have friends over for dinner or drinks. It would be lovely to find someone who's happy to share the occasional meal, pub trip or chat, while equally appreciating each other's independence and space. I'm really looking for a genuine housemate rather than simply a lodger.
I'm still gradually improving the house, so there are a few projects ongoing, but the main living spaces are comfortable and the bathroom has recently been completely renovated.
If this sounds like somewhere you'd enjoy living, I'd love to hear from you. Please send me a little about yourself, and if it seems like we'd be a good match, we can arrange to meet for a viewing before making any decisions.
Please be aware that rent includes reasonable household utility usage. Because the property is electric, if electricity exceeds £180 in any month, we would split the excess equally. This just protects us both from extreme winter spikes.
