A bright and spacious double room with an en-suite is available in a friendly professional house in Balham. The room is located on the ground floor and comes fully furnished with a double bed and mattress, a double wardrobe, and a bedside table.
The room benefits from excellent natural light thanks to large windows with shutters. In addition to the en-suite, you’ll also have primary access to a separate bathroom just adjacent to the bedroom.
The location is ideal, with Balham station only a 10-minute walk away and Tooting Bec the same. There are plenty of amenities nearby including supermarkets, pubs, gyms and cafés. The house is also just a short walk from Tooting Common, Wandsworth common, and within easy reach of Clapham Common.
The House:
The property has a large communal kitchen, living and dining area providing plenty of space to relax or socialise. The kitchen includes two large fridge freezers, a double hob and a microwave, while the utility area has a washing machine and dryer. The living area includes a sofa and TV (Sky included).
All communal areas, including the bathrooms, are cleaned by a cleaner every two weeks (included in the rent).
The house also has a good-sized garden, ideal for the summer months, and an additional spare room which is perfect for the occasional guest.
WiFi is included in the cost. Electricity and water bills are handled separately.
The Housemates:
I shall be moving out and you’ll be living with five friendly professionals (two males and three females) aged between 27 and 32. Some work full-time in the office while others have a mix of office and wfh. Some have lived here for 4+ years (which is a great reflection on the house itself!).
If you want to discuss anything including viewings, or if a different move in date is more suitable then please do drop me a message! Deposit TBC - awaiting landlord.
Please note: The landlord has mentioned that she has plans to move back into the property at some point in the future, hence why the tenancy is initially offered as a two-month agreement that then rolls on a monthly basis. She hasn’t provided a definite timeline as she’s currently unsure herself when this might happen.
