We have a lovely, cosy room available in our eighteenth-century miners' cottage, our family home nestled in the peaceful valleys just outside Bath. We're also well placed for Bristol, Wells, Frome, Glastonbury and the beautiful Mendip Hills, with Bath's university campuses just a short drive away.
You'll have a shared bathroom with both a bath and separate shower, alongside a fully equipped shared kitchen and a comfortable shared sitting room with a wood burner.
Outside, there's a beautiful garden and a peaceful spot for eating or simply sitting with a cup of coffee. It's the kind of home that's easy to unwind in after a busy day.
Now that our three children have flown the nest, we'd love to offer someone a welcoming place to call home.
There are regular buses into Bath, Bristol and Wells, although a car is recommended if you want to make the most of living here. There's plenty of safe off-street parking in our small hamlet of six houses.
We're a friendly, sociable household who enjoy cooking, good conversation and occasionally sharing a meal, while also respecting each other's privacy and space. We're looking for someone who is tidy, considerate and easy-going—someone who'll enjoy being part of the household while appreciating everyone's independence. Hybrid home working would be appropriate here, but it's not a full time home office situation.
If you're looking for a calm, comfortable home in the countryside rather than simply a room to rent, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
