Looking for a housemate to join three lads in a good house just off Battersea Park Road. The room is small - let's be upfront about that. Single bed, not loads of space, but there's room for a desk and we've got extra storage elsewhere in the house. You're saving a fair bit compared to the other rooms because of the size, but the house itself is genuinely great and the location's brilliant.
The House:
Proper shared kitchen/living area where we actually hang out - watch football, rugby, films, whatever's on. We've got Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, PS5, Xbox One. (Only thing we're missing is Disney+ if you happen to have it!)
Nice garden - it's looking a bit tired at the moment but we'll get it sorted in spring. Perfect for summer beers. Dishwasher, washing machine, dryer all there. Cleaner comes every two weeks so the place stays decent.
Two bathrooms - one big one downstairs, one smaller one upstairs shared between just two rooms (yours being one of them), so you're not fighting for the bathroom in the morning.
The Location:
This is genuinely one of the best bits. Quiet street just off Battersea Park Road - so peaceful but everything's right there. Seven minutes to Clapham Junction, less than ten to Battersea Park. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Greggs, coffee shops, pubs, and proper restaurants all nearby. Lime Bikes usually parked outside the front door!
The Housemates:
Three lads, 24-30. Into keeping fit, going out for beers, rugby, football, cricket, surfing, running - that sort of thing. All mates but everyone's got their own life and friends too. Pretty easy-going bunch and the house has a good vibe.
What We're Looking For:
Someone who'll actually want to be part of the house rather than just somewhere to sleep. The best thing about this place is the people and the atmosphere - we actually like living together. Given the room's on the smaller side, you'll probably be in the shared spaces quite a bit anyway, which works well if you're someone who'd be up for watching a match or having a beer now and then.
No formal house rules - just the usual common sense stuff like washing up after yourself. Overnight guests are absolutely fine. It's relaxed but we all pull our weight.
Practical Bits:
Available from beginning of March
Two-year tenancy, but you can leave anytime if you find a replacement we're all happy with
Deposit around £850 (could be slightly more, just being upfront)
Street parking permit available
£650 rent + £120 bills = £770/month total - honestly great value for Battersea
If it sounds like it could work, drop us a message. Happy to do viewings or sort something remote if you're not in London at the moment!
