Bright Double Room in Bethnal Green | Available from 21 September (Flexible)

We're looking for a new flatmate to join our lovely two-floor flat in the heart of Bethnal Green. The room is available from 21 September, with some flexibility if you'd like to move in a little earlier.

The room

The room is a bright double bedroom, partially furnished with a bed, mirror and built-in wardrobe, with plenty of space to make it your own.

The flat

Our home is split over two floors and has:

Spacious open-plan living room and kitchen
Bathroom with both a bath and shower
Balcony with a barbecue
Shared rooftop terrace with our neighbours
Secure bike storage (with access from outside the flat)

We're a shoes-off household and like to keep the flat clean, tidy and comfortable. We have a dishwasher, follow a "clean as you go" approach, and have a cleaner come in periodically. We also have quite a few large indoor plants, which add a lot of character to the space.

We don't smoke inside the flat, although Federico smokes on the balcony, so it's worth mentioning in case that's a deal breaker for you.

This is definitely not a party house, but we do enjoy having friends over occasionally for dinner, drinks, or, when the weather is nice, a small barbecue on the balcony. We enjoy cooking, and the spacious kitchen is one of the flat’s biggest perks.

The location

The flat is in a fantastic spot, just a 5-minute walk from both Bethnal Green (Central line) and Cambridge Heath (Overground) stations, with plenty of bus connections nearby.

The neighbourhood has everything you could want within walking distance – great pubs, cafés, independent shops, supermarkets and parks. There's also a real sense of community here. We have great relationships with our neighbours and everyone looks out for one another.

About us

We're both designers and split our time between working from home and being in the studio.

We also have an active social life. Some of our interests, in no particular order, include art exhibitions, live music, outdoor activities, swimming, pole dancing, design, and spending time at the pub.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who's after more than just a room – someone who'll treat the flat like home. We'd love to find someone who's independent and has their own life, but who also enjoys the occasional chat in the kitchen, sharing a meal or a drink every now and then.
