👋🏻 Hey,
Our lovely flatmate is sadly leaving us, therefore we are looking for a new member to join our inclusive and queer household.
We are Sal, Teegan, and Panos-three queer housemates in our late 20s and early 30s with backgrounds in media, tech, and architectural lighting. Although we come from different countries and have different interests, we have built a home where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and welcome.
When the opportunity arises, we genuinely enjoy spending time together. That might mean sharing a coffee and a chat, going for a walk, heading to the pub, watching a film in the living room, or occasionally going out for a party. At the same time, we really value our quiet, cosy days at home and respect each other's personal space and downtime.
The house has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and we are looking for someone who would enjoy being part of this small collective. We appreciate people who are happy to socialise now and then but also respect each other's independence and need for quiet time. Cleanliness and tidiness are important to all of us, so we would love to find someone who shares those values.
Above all, we are hoping to find a housemate who is kind, communicative, and wants to contribute to making the house feel like a home.
About the flat:
This is a lovely new built flat, split across two floors. There is an open plan living space downstairs, with modern kitchen (including dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge freezer), as well as a spacious back yard with a picnic table. On this level there is also one room and an extra toilet. Upstairs you’ll find the three remaining rooms, with a big bathroom.
Located right next to Shoreditch Church park, the flat sits in a fairly residential street away from the noise, while still being in the heart of Shoreditch with bars and restaurants at a walking distance.
Easy access to S. High Street (Overground), Old Street (Northern Line), Liverpool St (Central line, District line), Hoxton, Hackney, Dalston and Bethnal Green.
The available room is a lovely large double on the ground floor and comes furnished, the furnishing that come with the room are circled in the pictures. Rent is currently £1,045 and will increase to £1,063.75 from November.
Details:
Bills are not included in the rent, approximately £150 per month. We currently pay electricity, council tax, internet, heating and water, we also have a cleaner who comes bi-weekly.
The room is available from the 1st of September. The agency managing our property runs background checks, so please be ready to provide old landlords references and payslips. One month’s rent (£1045) and deposit (£940) would be required upfront to secure the room, and you'll need to be able to provide the agency with your ID in person in London.
If you feel you are right match in our household, don’t hesitate to get in touch sharing a bit about yourself ☺️
