Flat to let from 14th May-1st June. We have two big 'bed'rooms (bedroom and dressing room) plus the sitting-room and sunny balcony.
It's about 8 mins walk to Angel Station and 15 mins downhill to Kings Cross (20 with a suitcase). Great pubs in the area and the windows look directly over leafy Barnard Park opposite. The rooms are bright and have big windows that open wide so you can get a decent breeze on a hot day. It’s a bit shabby around the edges but the kind of stuff you stop noticing after a couple of days! Sainsbury’s is about 5 mins away and we have a friendly corner shop right at the bottom of the block.
We are travelling to Thailand to visit my partner's parents and I'm between jobs (with this 20 day holiday coming up, not making the jobsearch easy!) Hence listing our lovely space on here.
There is a third bedroom which is occupied by our very chill flatmate Peter. He manages a restaurant and natty wine bar, Crispin, and is almost always out of the house at work so you won't see much of him (we don't!) but he is respectful, clean, quietly friendly- all the good stuff. I think he is 33. He also NEVER uses the sitting room in the evenings so the space is all yours.
£1400 for 20 days (£2100 'per month')
or
£490 per week
or £70 per night
All bills included (plus TP, salt/pepper/cooking oil etc)
Offers for the full space and full 20ish days will be prioritised but open to offers for less time.
More about the house:
I moved in in 2021 and it was a super shabby flat with our 'hands-off' landlord so I have put a lot of work in to it to make it LOOK great, but there are still some annoying things to be aware of:
-You have to light the gas hob with a lighter (we keep one by the stove).
-You can only use the hot tap for the shower so you need to set the temperature at the boiler (or have crap water pressure and 10 minutes of fiddling with the taps).
-The extractor fan in the kitchen is broken.
-The front door swells/shrinks with moisture so you have to be SUPER careful that you have closed it properly and give it a safety push every time you leave.
Bedroom
Superking bed with Simba mattress. Blackout curtains. Happy to provide bedding if you don't have your own. Dehumidifier/air purifier available if you wish (we have trees opposite so helpful for hayfever sufferers.
Dressing Room
Welcome to be used as a second bedroom (although no bed and the chaise isn't long enough to sleep on, so you would need to make your own arrangements!) This room is lockable.
We have a desk available we can set up for you in here, if that is something you need.
Living Room
You will have basically exclusive use of this room. big tv, games consoles (welcome to use our Sky Sports/Netflix/ etc, all on the PS5), dining table, double door balcony with fly net if needed. We usually sleep with the bedroom door open and living room door closed (airflow + privacy), especially in summer.
Only thing we ask is that out of respect for Peter you don't entertain any guests during your stay. The walls are super thin and he works varied hours. He usually gets home late but if he's home we keep the volume low after around 10.30pm.
