My wonderful housemate is moving on to live with her boyfriend (yay for love!), so I’m looking for a new housemate moving in 3rd December.
The room
A HUGE double bedroom with a gorgeous mirrored built-in wardrobe. It’s available furnished or unfurnished (apart from the desk which will be going) whatever suits you best!
Bonus space
There’s also a spare room we’d share, perfect for storing belongings, extra bits and bobs, or anything that doesn’t fit in your room. The spare bed in there will be going.
The rest of the house
* A huge kitchen with all the essentials (oven, fridge, washing machine) plus a dishwasher
* A lovely outdoor garden space (looks a bit sad right now but great when gardened in the summer)
* Bathroom
* Incredibly fast internet
* The living room is getting a complete makeover, with a new sofa and furniture arriving before you move in!
The house is old, but it has gorgeous high ceilings.
A bit about me
I’m a creative and I work from home. I’d slightly prefer someone who works outside the home, but it’s not a dealbreaker if you don’t!
Good to know
My current housemate has a dog who’ll be moving out with her. If you pick up a doggy scent at a viewing, don’t worry, I’ll be giving the whole place a deep clean once they’ve gone. I don’t have pets myself, but I’m open to them, and I especially love cats, so if you’ve got a kitty, let me know!
This is an LGBTQ+ friendly home, and everyone is welcome.
Location
We’re on Grosvenor Road in Harborne, just off Court Oak Road, a short walk from Harborne High Street with its independent cafés, great restaurants and everyday shops, including Waitrose and an M&S Foodhall.
Getting around
* The number 24 bus runs along the High Street into Birmingham city centre, and the 23 also heads into town via Five Ways
* Harborne is also served by the 11A/11C (the Outer Circle), 48 and 76, so lots of options
* University train station is about a 20 minute walk from the High Street, with trains to New Street roughly every 15 minutes
* The city centre is only about three miles away
Green space & fun
Queen’s Park and the Harborne Walkway are close by, the Walkway being a two-mile nature path for walking and cycling, built on an old railway line. Harborne Pool & Fitness Centre is nearby too, and the University of Birmingham and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital are within easy reach, which is handy if you work or study there!
Move-in date: 3rd December (with bills from that date)
If this sounds like your kind of home, drop me a message! I’d love to hear from you!
