A friendly, cheerful older lady is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She is quite independent, but due to age, she would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would has help in the home but would value also some general practical help (up to 10 hours per week) around the home such as shopping, cooking a few meals, help with light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom with wardrobe and desk and chair, and shared bathroom, plus shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden. There is also a study room that the Sharer could use.

The property is in a good location approx. 10 minutes from Kings Heath train station. There are regular buses into central Birmingham which takes 30 mins by bus approx.

This lady enjoys knitting, reading, meeting with friends for a coffee and a chat, listening to the radio and watching TV such as Race around the World, Pointless and The Repair shop.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests. She also enjoys playing a card game or dominoes from time to time.
