We are Alice, Libby, Summer, Jake, Damien and Jamie, a group of young professionals and graduates.
We are looking for friendly housemates to share our spacious and sociable house. Perhaps like us you are new to Birmingham and would like a house share to met others in a similar situation. The house is in Edgbaston, within wtalking distance of Broad Street in and the city centre. Its location provides an easy commute to, the centre or the west or north side of Birmingham.
All bedrooms are spacious doubles, the ground floor being devoted to communal space to create a open and inviting environment. The lounge leads to a large garden, with a patio and is perfect for outdoor gatherings in the summer .
The house has multiple wifi access points through out to ensure you have good speed and reliable internet access in all areas of the house.
There's a laundry room with two large washer machines a dryer and hanging. drying space.
It is a spacious grade II listed property with thick walls so you have privacy in your room, yet great social space too. It is surprisingly quiet and calm particularly in the garden, yet always plently of activity around the kitchen and adoining dining space.
The layout of the house therefore allows you to have a cosy night in with your housemates or the freedom to relax privately in your own room.
The house is part of the network of 15 Gradcommunity houses, located within a small area of Edgbaston within walking distance, giving you the opportunity to be part of a community of young professional people. Sociable events are often organised between the houses, whether a movie night, a summer barbecue or a night out. There is always someone to spend time with should you choose to do so. Gradcommunity is owned by a professional landlord who has provided sociable houses for 26 years and his wife, a non-practicing solicitor who lectures in Law at Nottingham Trent University. You therefore will be renting from landlords you can trust. The ethos of Gradcommunity is that the household chooses who moves in. Therefore you won’t be anonymous renting a room in a house, but will be part of a household with a sense of community where members of the household support each other.
