Hey there!
A lovely, large and bright double room has become available in my chilled and creative 2-bedroom flat as my friend is moving in with his girlfriend, sadly. We're on the top floor of a beautiful art deco block, right on the border of St. John's, Brockley, and Lewisham – offering the best of all three areas! I'm looking for a friendly and tidy flatmate who appreciates a balance of socialising and enjoying their own space. Ideally, someone with a creative spark and maybe an interest in design, architecture, exhibitions, film, or theatre would be a great fit. LGBTQIA+ folks and allies are very welcome!
The Flat Vibe:
The flat has a relaxed and creative atmosphere. I enjoy catching up and maybe watching a film or TV together, but also very much have my own life with work, friends and my own interests. I also recognise important to respect each other's need for downtime and personal space.
About the Flat:
* Spacious and comfortable living room – perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
* Shared bathroom with a bath/ shower combo
* Separate kitchen.
* Fantastic balcony-style area – a great spot to enjoy a coffee and right now to cool down in the evenings
* Additional shared storage space available in the hallway if needed.
*Council Tax band: B
*Bills come to around £175 each per month
The Room:
* Good-sized double room with plenty of natural light.
* Unfurnished, ready for you to make it your own personal sanctuary. Some furniture may be available for the room through discussion with my current flatmate.
The Location - St. John's/ Brockley/ Lewisham Border:
This location is fantastic!
We're:
* A short distance from the beautiful Hilly Fields, offering stunning panoramic views of London. Just half an hour walk away from Greenwich and the park, as well as Black heath.
* Spoilt for choice with grocery options, from local stores to larger chains like Asda and Tesco. Brockley Market is right around the corner on the weekend.
* Within easy reach of some great pubs like The Talbot (delicious food!) and The Brookmill (great Sunday Roast with massive Yorkshire's)
* Extremely well-connected with regular bus routes, the DLR and train stations at both St. John's and Lewisham, offering direct links to London Bridge, Charing Cross, and Cannon Street.
About Me (Chris):
I am a manager at a major theatre and visitor attraction in London, so my work days and hours can be a bit varied, but luckily not really late. I'm a big fan of theatre, film, and cinema, so I'm often out and about in the evenings. I also love exploring exhibitions, galleries, and socialising with friends. While I enjoy going out for a casual drink, I'm equally happy staying in for a relaxed evening with a good meal and a film or TV show. I'm originally from the north but have called London home for the past decade, having previously worked in design and museums.
I'm looking for a flatmate who is:
* Sociable and enjoys occasional chats or shared activities but also respects personal space and quiet time.
* Tidy and considerate of our shared living environment and willing to share cleaning
* Creatively inclined and might share interests in design, architecture, exhibitions, film, and/or theatre.
* LGBTQIA+ or LGBTQIA+ friendly.
The room is available from early October and possibly earlier with agreement from my current flatmate. If this sounds like the kind of flatshare you're looking for, please get in touch and tell me a little bit about yourself! I'd be happy to answer any questions and arrange a viewing.
Cheers!
Chris
