Spare Room in Friendly LGBTQ+ Affirming Family Home – Annexe Setup with Own Bathroom, and Kitchen with breakfast bar for virtually sole use

We’re a warm, inclusive family of four looking for an LGBTQ+ affirming lodger, to join our family home in Colehill, Wimborne, Dorset.

The available room is part of an adjoined annexe within our house, offering extra privacy and independence. You’ll have:
• A bright, tranquil double bedroom
• Shared use (almost exclusive!) of kitchen area with small breakfast bar
• your own private bathroom right next door to your bedroom
• Access via the 'garden room' with shared utility space
•. Separate Annexe driveway with parking space for 1 small car

We pride ourselves on creating a safe, affirming and inclusive environment. One of our 17-year-old twins is part of the LGBTQ+ community, and fostering an atmosphere of respect, kindness, and acceptance is a top priority in our home so that everybody can feel safe to be their true selves.

We also live with two much-loved pets: Nala, our gentle cockapoo, and Fudge, our young Burmese cat — so you’ll need to be pet-friendly and not suffer with pet allergies (although they are both hypoallergenic breeds)

The household and neighbourhood are quiet, welcoming, and perfect for someone who values both independence and community. We’d love to find someone who will feel right at home here.

We are both working professionals and work most of the week from home either in the office space in the annexe or downstairs in the main house. The twins spend a lot of their free time in their own rooms upstairs but are quiet and considerate and noise doesn't seem to be an issue fortunately, nor travel toward the annexe.

You would have your own parking space in the second driveway and would be able to access the annexe through a communal entrance room / garden room where there is a shared utility space.

📍 Location: Colehill , 16 min walk to Wimborne Minster, The Cobbs Road bus stop (no 13 route) is just around the corner and the Colehill Co op is a 5-10 min stroll.
