The important stuff:

Good sized double room available in spacious 2 bed ground floor flat in Bow. I have part-furnished the room but you are welcome to bring your own furniture if preferred. Shared bathroom with separate bath and shower. Separate kitchen and living room. Separate washing machine and tumble dryer. Communal indoor bike storage. Because it's ground floor and just off Roman Rd, if you're a super light sleeper, it's probably not the flat for you. No couples.

Rent is £900 plus bills, which are around £200 per month.

There's 11 months left on the contract (until beginning of Jan 2027) although I'm open to shorter term stays. Deposit is £900 and there's a £50 charge to change the name on the tenancy. Referencing required. Move in ASAP but must be able to pay rent from 22nd Feb.

About the area:

The flat is in a purpose-built block just off Roman Rd. Roman Rd is great, with lots of different shops and cafes, and a market. Bow Library is a 3 mins walk from the flat, as is a lovely little yoga studio. 6 mins walk to Victoria Park. 2 mins walk from the no. 8 and no. 339 bus stop, and a 12-15 min walk from Mile End tube station. I've lived in the wider area for almost 10 years and I love it here!

About me:

I'm 32 and a university researcher (postdoc) in the social sciences. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to the park, the pub, the lido, and exploring all the local coffee shops and food markets. I also enjoy a new crafty hobby, a good book, and cooking/baking. I work from home a fair bit and go into the office 1-2 times per week.

I'm looking for someone friendly and chill to share the flat and treat it like a home. Willingness to watch bad TV and/or go for the odd coffee/pub trip is a plus! I sometimes dogsit my sister's spaniel so you must like dogs.
