Lovely Georgian house in Kemptown. 20 Minutes walk to the Pavilion and < 5 minutes to the sea and Brighton Hospital on Eastern Road. Marmalade, The Reading Room & Fika cafes are top hits locally. It has a small outside area that’s super sunny.
The house is inclusive, friendly, and calm, and currently there’re 2 housemates, a woman & a man - all of us born abroad. Our occupations are varied - media, renewables tech & beach volleyball. All are quiet, mindful and lead healthy lifestyles. It's also mainly vegetarian. I’m a live-in owner of the house.
The south-facing bedroom is at the top of the house with great views. You’ll share the bathroom, shower and loo room with one other. It’s clean and bright.
Kitchen/cooking agreements: wash, dry and put away what you use and clean the kitchen when you use it, so that it's welcoming to your housemate.
There's a laundry with washing machine and dryer, with a washing line outside.
You’re also more than welcome to use the lower ground floor lounge and dining area. All communal areas are kept clean by the housemates on a rotational basis.
Our energy comes from a renewable energy provider, with Welsh sheep's wool insulation installed in the loft. The monthly energy costs/person average ± £22 in warm months to ± £70 in the cold ones, with water bills at £15/month. I cover the Council tax. The immersion water that heats water for the bathroom is on Economy 7 cheaper rate to help manage costs.
