About the room:
Good sized unfurnished double room. Space for a double bed, wardrobe or chest of drawers. East facing window so very sunny in the morning. Second smaller room, also east facing, which you can use as an office, tv room/snug or walk in wardrobe. Off street dedicated parking space.
About the house:
Small sunny 3 bedroom house perfect for 2 people so no couples please. Shared bathroom with in-bath shower. Constant hot water with good water pressure. Gas central heating. Shared lounge which is furnished and has lots of plants. Small but tidy kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge and washing machine. Utility shed and garden shed with space to use as a workshop on rainy days. Nice decking area and good sized south west facing garden, with plants and two raised veggie beds. The deck gets the sun from late morning until sun down, it's a real sun trap. Shared dining room which I has a small coffee/wine bar. There is also a tumble dryer in the dining room.
Bus no 1, 1A and the new 1X stop outside the house, travelling into Hove and Brighton or there’s a 2 minute walk to buses to Shoreham, Worthing etc. 12 minutes walk to Portslade station and Boundry road shops, including Aldi. 10 minutes walk to large Sainsbury's. 15 minutes to walk to the beach, 20 minutes to Hove Lagoon. Quick access to Old Shoreham road if you drive.
About Me:
I'm 48, easy going, polite and kind. I currently work as a carer and work shifts. A good daily routine on a work day is essential for me. I enjoy a natter, watching telly and good food and wine. I also enjoy my space and my room is my sanctuary. I turned into a plant geek during lockdown and I do propogate seedlings indoors and on the deck.
I live with Sunni my 10 year old calico cat. We have just said goodbye to our elderly dog. As the house is pet friendly I think this is a good opertunity for a responsible dog owner who has a well behaved, cat friendly dog.
About You:
Easy going, friendly and polite. Male or female, between
30 and 60 years old, although it's really not about age but about maturity and outlook, and should enjoy a quiet, easy life.
Animal lover is a must.
Plant and garden lover would be nice but not essential. I'd like a housemate who will enjoy the house and garden with me.
Neat and tidy but not overly pedantic. Willing to share household chores without the need for a rota (but if the lack of a rota was a deal breaker for you, we could work together and create one)
Letting details;
£800 per month including bills and a few basic household essentials like cleaning products, toilet paper and bin liners. Window cleaner and gardener is included too.
The lease is through an agency on 12 month contract with around £600 deposit required (I need to check this with the agency)
