Hello there,
I’m renting a lovely two bed in Windmill Hill and would love to share it with someone on a short term basis, starting at 1 month and then a rolling contract. This is partly due to not being sure of long term plans yet. Ideal start date is early September. Earlier is possible.
The room is not huge but fits a double bed, small desk, slim wardrobe/drawers and space for a yoga mat! The picture shows the room unfurnished, but it actually has a futon double currently. This will be regular oak double bed with storage space under, in September. The room has black out curtains and a view over the back gardens, so it’s pretty quiet.
Because of the lack of storage I would say it would suit someone without loads of stuff, or someone seeking a temporary stay before finding long term lodgings, etc.
The rest of the house is lovely and offers lots more space! The bathroom is huge and has a shower and a bath.
There is a sweet, light sitting room, where I keep my piano and instruments etc, a large, very light kitchen/diner/conservatory (great for bikes) and equally large garden, which needs a bit of TLC! I’m afraid I don’t currently have a TV set up but have a TV monitor.
It does have a rather odd set up in the kitchen/diner with a part-conservatory roof so it can be noisy when it rains.. but this also makes the house great fun and very light.
I work in classical music teaching, and about to be away until September unfortunately, but if anyone sees this in the next day or two it would be great to do some viewings. I’d like to share with someone who’s a similar age, but open to all ideas for now! My apologies if I don’t reply immediately.
Very into classical/jazz/folk music, cycling and swimming, hiking, community arts, countryside and eco living. I’m generally a lefty, don’t eat much meat but always high welfare / organic where possible and try to avoid plastic waste. I’m not into drinking/partying but am not boring(!) it’s just those days are behind me (!)
Would suit a very friendly, easygoing, down to earth and cheerful soul!
The area is super friendly, colourful and Victoria park is really vibrant.
My cat will be joining us from September, she’s a slightly grumpy but lovely tabby. Someone who likes cats is essential!
I look forward to hearing from you,
Best wishes and thanks,
Sarah
