We have a small double room in a new build house in St Werburghs, easy walking/cycling to the centre and a green leafy surrounding with the City Farm nearby plus neighbouring Montpelier, Stokes Croft and Easton. We are looking for £600 a month including bills (plus potentially a contribution to a cleaner every 2 weeks if we decide to use one).

Flexible on length of tenancy although ideally would like to find a long term arrangement.

The room is a small furnished double room on the ground floor, which we are open to you putting shelves and pictures up or repainting if we can agree on colours. There is also some flexibility on furniture, we can get rid of the chest of drawers and bookcase but the double bed has to stay. The house is a spacious 4 bed modern and very well insulated. The house has lots of nice spaces for us each to spend time in without getting on top of each other. There are 2 bathrooms plus one toilet/utility room. You would mostly have your own bathroom except when we occasionally want to use the bathtub. There is a courtyard garden with a large table and seating plus outside power socket, a large dining table in the kitchen, plus a living room with a TV sofas and an armchair. We also have our own private office study room, plus our own sofa upstairs; so plenty of space if we want to do different things in communal areas. There is a secure bike shed at the back of the garden with space for a bicycle.

You would be sharing the house with a mixed race couple in their late 30s, one studies part time and works for a charity and the other runs a CIC. We are both quite artistic people who love nature and plants. We plan to get a cat at some point, so being ok with cats is a must. We have no plans for kids and create our family from our community around us. We both enjoy walking, cycling, camping, making music, painting, gardening, reading, poetry, films and going to gigs. We both play instruments and practice a couple of times a week at home at reasonable hours, but on the 3rd floor well away from your room on the ground floor, but generally it is a quiet chilled house.

Looking for a woman or non-binary lodger 25-50, into keeping a calm and tidy home. We would like to prioritise having a caring household where we really get on, sharing the occasional meal, board game or watching something together plus housekeeping etc but also respecting one another’s boundaries and need for space and down time. Generally a very chilled house, with occasional meals with friends or low key hangouts, think nice walks and cups of tea rather than loud parties and late nights.

We are socially minded and conscientious people that have been involved in community and grassroots campaigning over the years. We are less involved now and tend to focus on art projects more these days, but it is important that we live with people we get on with politically (pro-palestine, trans-inclusive, feminist, anti-racist, absolutely no tories or police allowed in the house). We both eat meat but regularly also cook vegan meals for friends and try to consume as ethically as one can under capitalism.
