Spacious Double Room in Beautiful Shared Home – Great Location

A spacious double room available at the top of a friendly chilled shared house in a fantastic location. The house is just a short walk from the river park, with beautiful walks and nature right on your doorstep. It’s a lovely neighbourhood with friendly neighbours, close to the high street and only a few minutes’ walk to bus stops with direct routes into Bristol and Bath.

The room itself is large and offers plenty of storage, including a wardrobe, under-bed storage, trunks, a large chest of drawers, a long storage unit, and two additional cupboards under the eaves. There is also a very large desk (if you work from home at all) with storage, shelving, and a filing cabinet, making it ideal if you work or study from home.

An additional fold-out chair bed is also included, which is perfect if you occasionally have friends or family to stay.

The downstairs of the house and the bathroom have recently been renovated, giving the home a modern, clean, and bright feel throughout. Most of the rooms downstairs and hallway (up and down) all have smoke or heat alarms, for added safety. There is a garage, it is full however of some of my things, which do need to sort (typical garage of forgotten things and rubbish lol), but if you have a cycle bike and few bits it would fit.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances, including a dishwasher and washing machine, as well as everything you need for cooking. You’ll have your own large larder cupboard for storage and are welcome to use all kitchen equipment.

Downstairs there are two TVs, a dining table that seats eight people, a downstairs cloakroom toilet, and a very comfortable living area.

You would need to be comfortable around cats, as I have three. One is expecting kittens in the coming months, so this would suit someone who enjoys animals and doesn’t mind a bit of feline company!

The house also has a large garden. I enjoy gardening and would be happy if you wanted to get involved, although there’s absolutely no pressure.

A little about us: I’m a positive, friendly person who enjoys cooking, socialising, shopping, and keeping fit. I make a very good roast dinner! My 10-year-old daughter also lives here — she’s fun, happy, and growing up far too quickly.

I’m looking for a positive, respectful person who would enjoy being part of the household and joining in socially from time to time.

For anyone into fitness, I also have weights, a step, mats, and some home workout equipment which you’d be welcome to use. I go to the gym regularly but also train at home.

Rent is £625 per month, including all bills except the council tax difference. As I currently receive the 25% single occupancy discount, I would ask the tenant to contribute the difference, which is £51 per month (Band D).

There is also an electric car charging point available. If used, electricity costs for charging can be worked out separately based on usage.
