Available from 01/06/26 (maybe a little earlier). We are offering a room for rent in our family home. Our ideal tenant is someone who values cleanliness, tidiness, and privacy, as they will thrive in our peaceful environment. If you have experience around children, that would be a bonus since we have a (usually) lovely four-year-old girl and one-year-old boy. Although our kids are very well behaved, please be aware that they do have bad days and nights from time to time but we do everything we can to make sure our current tenant is not disturbed but this isn’t always possible.

The room will soon be available as our current tenant, that’s been with us for three years, leaves so the date will depend on her final day with us. She has been a fantastic member of our household and has only added to our day-to-day lives, so this is something we'll be looking for in our next tenant.
As before we are ideally looking for a female around the age of 18-30 as this would make my wife more comfortable, however, if you think you'd be a good fit then we'll consider anyone.

Here are some details about the room and amenities we provide:

The room is fully furnished and includes a comfortable bed, a desk for studying or working, a spacious wardrobe, and a chest of drawers for your belongings. We want you to feel at home and have everything you need.
As part of our household, you will have access to shared spaces such as the kitchen. We understand the importance of food storage, so we offer dedicated room in the fridge and freezer for your convenience. Additionally, we provide cupboard space in the kitchen for your personal belongings.

You're welcome to use the garden space should you wish too. We have an upstairs and downstairs bathroom. You're welcome to use the living room at any time, however, me and the mrs tend to use it a lot in the evenings and certain days, and there also tends to be toys scattered around when we're too tired to move and generally pick things up.

We should mention that we have a friendly cat as part of our family. If you're a cat lover, you'll surely enjoy her company.

Our home is located in a peaceful neighbourhood with convenient access to amenities such as supermarkets, restaurants, and public transportation. It's a safe and welcoming environment for someone who prefers a quieter lifestyle, while also directly on the bus routes to the centre of Bristol (within a 5 minute walk). There is also a park (Blaise Park) about a 5 minute walk from us which is lovely.

If you're looking for a job during your stay, there are many opportunities at the Cribbs Causeway Mall which is about 5-10 minutes up the road from us by car or bus.

The cost of the room includes all bills, and any general shared household items such as toilet roll, hand soap etc, but you will be responsible for buying your own food and shower related products.

About Us:
I'm a graphic designer, and my wife Beth is a research administrator for the NHS. We have quite a busy working week as I also have my own web design business. We are both vegetarian but that doesn't mean that we expect you to be. When we aren't working we mostly spend our time collapsed from the exhaustion of work and looking after small children (sounds fun I know), however, on the weekends we tend to go our for day trips as a family.
