The house is a new-build, 4 bed eco-style home in the Brooks Dye community in St Werburghs, just behind Mina Park. I’m the owner and have been living with two lodgers. They would describe living with me as more like having a good housemate who covers off all the admin, than a landlord.
The house is spread over three floors. 2nd floor has 2 double bedrooms and shower room for the lodgers; 1st floor has my bedroom, an office/chillout room and a bathroom, which is shared access. The ground floor features an open-plan kitchen living and dining area with bi-fold doors out to our sun trap, little lawned garden. It makes for a great communal space. Bedroom is part furnished- double bed, blanket boxes, bedside table.
I am typically spending 30% of my time at my missus's house outside Bristol. When I'm not using the office for client calls, it can be used as extra living space, or for work.
A little about us & the house vibe:
🌿 I’ve been living a sober life—whilst the occasional drink is fine, this house won’t suit someone who drinks regularly. Sangeetha likewise doesn't drink alcohol.
🍃 I’m in my mid-40s, working on my alcohol-free functional spirit start-up and retraining— currently finishing my Advanced Counselling Diploma and volunteering for a local care provider. Sangeetha is a pediatric nurse (day-shifts).
✨ I love a party, ecstatic dances & festivals, but the vibe at home is super calm. The house is kept clean and tidy and I really appreciate someone who enjoys a clean house and wants to keep it that way, whilst also ensuring it feels proper 'homely'.
💬 Awakened, deep conversation is as important as banter. And equally we love peace and quiet. The social vibe of people visiting is very welcome, just not full on partying.
🌱 Our many, many houseplants are our pets so unfortunately, no furry friends.
Me and Sangeetha are non-smokers.
We’re both omnivores and Sangeetha loves cooking amazing Indian food.
The essentials:
💰 Rent: £615 + £125 (Band C Council Tax)
🚫 No couples, I’m afraid!
If this sounds like your cup of tea, give me a shout! 😊
