> What's Available:
I have a double room available for 1 x clean/ tidy/ conscientious person.
The double room is furnished with a clothes rail double bed, chest of drawers, desk & chair and cabinet.
The house has a large kitchen, living room, south-facing garden, garage and bike rack.
The garden has a washing line, pond, flowers and a real sanctuary. It's lined beautifully with a view of some trees at the bottom of the garden (no houses) which adds to the green space.
There is unrestricted parking on the street.
> The Person / We Are:
To keep the numbers in the house low, the room is preferably for a single person. Preferably a professional person, non-smoker, who's into health & wellbeing, emotionally mature, a good communicator, laid back and clean & tidy. It makes it really enjoyable living communally when we're respectful of each other, the communal spaces and that our lifestyles coincide. Otherwise, I'm open to a mature student who is focused on their studies (I've had various PhD and Master's students.
Landlord: I am a professional person and work both remotely and onsite each week. I am not a vegetarian but limit the amount of meat I eat.
Home is an R&R area and quiet sanctuary for me. I love sports, I drink once in a blue moon as I prefer to enjoy my weekends running/ cycling etc. When I'm not out and about, I need & love quiet times at home, watching movies in the living room or reading, hanging out in the garden, eating and relaxing. I love boardgames in the winter! I really value my space and quiet times. This is a must around bedtime as the house is a 1930's build where sound travels very easily, especially up to my bedroom.
The other lodger: A creative professional who works mostly in the office, and occasionally from home. Very kind, conscientious, fun and laid back.
> The Area:
We live on a cul-de-sac, suburban road and are very fortunate to have no houses/ properties at the bottom of the garden, only trees! It doesn't feel like you're in the city at all and provides quietness.
5-10 minute walk from St Werburghs where there are independent greengrocers/ shops/ restaurants/ pubs. Otherwise, Tesco, Lidl, Ikea & Eastville Retail Park (with Boots, Halfords, M&S and PureGym) are a stone's throw away. There's a monthly Flea Market under the M32 on the last weekend of the month.
Frequent buses to the City Centre/ Stokes Croft.
There are scooters pick up/ drop off areas close by.
Very close to beautiful walking spots such as Eastville Park + Purdown, Snuff Mills. My favourite places for walking/running.
Very quick and easy access to the M32/ Easton.
