A welcoming family home — with space just for you

We’re a friendly family household with three young children (11, 8 and 5) and two much-loved cats, looking for the right person to share our home. There’s a generous, sociable kitchen and a mature garden with outdoor seating — ideal for relaxed evenings and the odd shared meal.

The available room is a large, bright loft room with its own private ensuite bathroom. Set on the top floor, it’s light, airy and peaceful — a genuinely calm space to study, work from home, or simply unwind. The room is furnished with a bed, chest of drawers, clothes rail, and desk with chair, so you can settle in easily.

While we all lead busy, independent lives, we enjoy living as a household rather than just sharing a building. That might mean a shared meal now and then, a catch-up while cooking, or a drink at the end of the day — friendly, low-key, and pressure-free.

Location-wise, we’re very well placed. The area is known for long sandy beaches, beautiful countryside, and popular local attractions including Cheddar Gorge, Weston Pier and Wookey Hole. It’s a 15-minute walk to the beach, around 30 minutes on foot into town, and just a 30-minute train journey to Bristol. There’s no resident parking scheme on our street, so parking is refreshingly easy.

We’re open to short or longer-term stays, and can also offer a Monday–Friday option if that suits you better.
