Hello You!
We have one room up for grabs in our lovely little Brixton council block flat from 1st August as our flatmate is starting a new chapter in his life and moving back home!
On the room:
It’s a double room facing the street. The furniture in the room includes a double bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a desk chair and a Tv table. You can buy the mattress from the flatmate that’s leaving, or bring your own.
On the flatmates:
There’s 5 rooms in the flat, and the 4 people who are staying in the flat are:
Lamprini - 32, Greek, an artist/animator/curator by night and a project manager by day. Exhibiting strong black cat energy, you will often find her reading on the sofa or hanging out with our fish.
Juan Pablo - 29, works in community gardens and will persuade you to go on hikes, pet dogs, smell plants. Loves books, films and a good debrief.
Julia - 27, Polish, works in creative production in a charity but deep down aspires to be a full time sports spice. Bit of an awkward but social butterfly, loves a good gossip/cry over wine. Perpetually in a state of slight existential crisis.
Moa - 29, from Belgium and Scotland, works in environmental education at reserves around town. When she gets time off you'll find her eternally cooking, walking and aspiring to do too many unachievable crafts.
On the vibes:
We’re all friendly, open and communicative, treating this place like our home. The vibe is chill, we all contribute to the upkeep of the flat sharing a weekly rota. We also have fish - one moor goldfish, Brolly or Stevie, which we’re all open to helping to take care of.
On the logistics:
Location - the flat is located approximately 10-15 minutes away from Brixton tube station and a 5 minute walk from Brockwell park. There is a big Sainsbury’s around the corner, and Lidl and Tesco 15-20 minutes of a walk away.
Bills - are not included in the rent and vary month to month, but typically come in between £60 and £100pm. Everyone in the flat is responsible for a bill each.
Landlord - there isn’t an agency involved, we’re renting directly from a private landlord - but there is a referencing process. In terms of any works and repairs in the flat we arrange it directly with the landlord, who is fairly responsive and most of the time unproblematic.
Amenities - we’ve got 2 fridges and a freezer, a microwave and a washing machine in the kitchen. There is on street parking in front of the building and a car park behind the flats. Parking restrictions for both don't apply at evenings and weekends, residents permits from Lambeth Council are required the rest of the time for both.
If all this sounds good to you, drop us a line about yourself and let’s meet!
