My name is Jacob. I'm a professional and I work Monday to Friday in IT.

ROOM AVAILABLE

I am looking to rent out a bedroom in my four bedroom home in Marlbrook, Bromsgrove.

It is a double bedroom with plenty of space. You will have a large wardrobe and chest of drawers and a chair and desk.


You will be sharing the family bathroom (bath, shower toilet) with only one other lodger.

DETAILS ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The house is situated within a couple of minutes from the motorway (M42 and M5), there is a tesco express a five minute walk away and miller and carters pub within a short walking distance.

There is also a really good country park (Lickey Hills) five minutes drive away which is great for mountain biking and walking.

As a house we are pretty sociable but give each other our own space. We enjoy playing board games, having a few drinks together and have also enjoyed the odd evening out. Some members of the house enjoy cycling and climbing so if you are into that your welcome to come along.

There are two train stations which can get you into Birmingham in about twenty five minutes (Every ten to 20 minutes). One in Barnt Green (5 minute drive) and one in Bromsgrove (10 minute drive).

There is also a bus stop about three minutes walk away.

A LITTLE ABOUT WHO YOU WILL BE LIVING WITH

I've done the whole being a lodger thing for a lot of years as I have worked all over the country. I've also been a live in landlord for a while and have had lodgers stay for 5+ years. Most lodgers stay for several years. I get what works when it comes to living in a decent house share.

I'm pretty easy going. I enjoy photography and cooking. I also enjoy travelling. A few years ago I backpacked for four months across south east asia.

Working in IT, im pretty tech savvy. I am a bit of a gadget nerd. Internet speeds are also good around the house and garden.

I am OK with with the occasional overnight guests aslong as they dont stay for any longer than three nights a week.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROOMS IN THE HOUSE

KITCHEN-

There is a huge amount of space for storing food in your own cupboard (I promise you'll get more than a single shelf, been there done that!) There is also a huge family sized fridge/freezer with a drink and ice dispenser. We have a smoothie maker. There is also a breakfast bar area. You wont need to bring any kitchen ustensils with you.

Living/ Dining areas

There is enough seating on the comfy sofa for three and then a further arm chair. There is also a large TV in the living room. In the dining room there is a large table with enough seats for five.

PARKING

You would also have a place to park a car on the drive, none of the faffing around trying to fight for a space on a street!

Last few points..

1) Preferably employed
2) Self employed is fine aslong as you can provide proof of income.
3) No additional money required for bills. Flat monthly rent of £510pcm.
4) No smoking in the house. However, happy to accept smokers providing you smoke outside.
5) No large pets (although I wouldnt get too upset about a small pet such as goldfish! But please, let's have that conversation first!)
6) Sorry no couples.
7) To commence with any lodger I will need a deposit and one months rent prior to you moving in. Ill also require a lodger agreement to be signed and see a copy of your passport (due to right to rent legislation 2016).
