Female Homesharer Preferred – Bury St Edmunds £190 per month inc bills
Supportmatch Homeshare is looking for a kind, mature and sociable Homesharer to share the home of an older person who would benefit from companionship, reassurance and a friendly presence in the house.
A female Homesharer is preferred due to the nature of the household arrangement. This opportunity may particularly suit an older or experienced woman who enjoys conversation and is seeking safe, affordable accommodation in a welcoming home.
The Accommodation – £190 per Month, Including Bills
The Homesharer will have a private bedroom on the top floor of a spacious house.
There is a large shared bathroom and a separate toilet downstairs. The
Householder has their own private bathroom.
Support and Companionship
The Homesharer will provide approximately:
10 hours of practical help each week
Around five hours of flexible companionship
A regular overnight presence in the home
The companionship can be arranged around the Homesharer’s employment, studies and other commitments. It does not need to be provided every day or at fixed times.
Support may include:
Popping in occasionally to say a friendly hello
Having short, informal conversations
Making a cup of tea from time to time
Talking about history, music, culture, the news or current affairs
Helping with light household tasks and other agreed practical activities
Providing a friendly and reassuring presence in the home
The Homesharer will NOT be expected to provide personal care, bathroom assistance, administer medication or undertake any regulated care duties.

We are looking for someone who is:
Female preferred, due to the nature of the household arrangement
Kind, patient, friendly and sociable
Mature and dependable
Comfortable living alongside an older person
Happy to offer occasional conversation and reassurance
Respectful of privacy and personal boundaries
Clean, tidy and considerate
Able to provide a regular overnight presence
