A sociable and independent 92-year-old gentleman is seeking a Sharer for his home to provide some friendly company and a little practical help each week in exchange for low-cost accommodation.

He would particularly value having someone around in the evenings to share a simple cooked meal, watch television and enjoy a good chat. He is still able to manage many aspects of daily life independently, so the arrangement is mainly about companionship, friendly reassurance and light practical help as agreed.

The accommodation is open and airy. The Householder has a bedroom downstairs, while the Sharer's bedroom is upstairs, allowing both people their own space. There is also a male lodger who rents a separate, self-contained flat within the property.

The property is in the Cambridge CB23 area with a large garden and within walking distance of the village shops. 28 min cycle ride to Cambridge Railway Station

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be positive, friendly, warm, kind, communicative and reliable. Someone who enjoys interesting conversation, sharing an evening meal and occasionally watching television together would be a particularly good fit.
