A bright, south-facing single bedroom is available for single occupancy in a quiet, three-bedroom house in the heart of Chesterton, near the river. The bedroom is furnished with a single bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a night table, a bookshelf and a chair, and a desk. There are two lamps, an overhead light and a rug. The curtains are lined with blackout material which keeps out the light in the summer time. Bed linen and towels can be provided. This room is available initially on a short-term basis (1-6 months) - this is negotiable.

The house is fully furnished with shared facilities, fibre-optic wifi, a garage and a small garden with a shed. Downstairs there is a well-kitted out kitchen with all appliances, and a utility room with washing machine, clothes horses, iron and ironing board. There is parking available in the driveway and storage for bicycles in a secure garage. Extra storage space is available in the attic and the garage.

The house is shared with one other person, with the possibility of other more temporary guests. The property is in a peaceful location and is in walking and cycling distance from from Cambridge city centre and the Science Park. It is on the Citi 2 bus route (closest bus stop is 2 minutes' walk) and within walking distance of Cambridge North train station, providing direct links to Cambridge and London, and other parts of East Anglia. There are several amenities nearby including small shops, 2 pubs and takeaway food outlets. It is very close to several parks and natural spaces.

The rent includes everything, including all bills, Wi-Fi and cleaning. If there are pets this would include extra cleaning charges. Please note there is no terrestrial TV. A full deposit is required on receipt of the keys.

Please note that the room is for single occupancy only, quiet hours are between 9:30pm and 6am and therefore is most suitable for someone who is sleeping or at rest at night, and wouldn't be suitable for people who are active at night time (e. g. gaming, having meetings, talking on the phone etc).

The ideal housemate would be a friendly, tidy, clean person who appreciates a calm and quiet home and is considerate and respectful to others.
Due to chemical insensitivities, the room is not suitable for smokers or those who use strong perfumed products - where possible please use natural or unfragranced products.

People who have an understanding of conscious/community living, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, Non-Violent Communication, Focusing or some form of self-development or self-growth are particularly welcome.

Sometimes dogs are present at the property so any pets would be subject to this.
