We are looking for a professional or postgraduate student to join our shared, in a quiet, central part of Cambridge. The room available is a single bedroom located on the 1st floor, with access to two shared bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large living room and garden. The house is fully-furnished, but there is plenty of storage space in case you also want to bring your own furniture.

The current flatmates are Hang and Aar, both professionals who have worked in Cambridge for the past several years.

York Street is mostly private apartments and a small oasis near the city centre. Our neighbours are quiet and easy-going, mostly of young professionals and families.

The house is shaded by tall trees so stays reasonably cool in the hot weather, and has central heating so is warm in the winter. The house has a large shared living room which opens to a spacious shared garden with a BBQ and bench seating.

We have a spacious shared kitchen, and a currently unused parking space which you could use, plus additional parking nearby. For bikes, we have two bike racks in the shared garden, which opens to a private courtyard.

The house is very centrally located, close to Mill Road (about a 10 minute walk), ARU (about a 5 minutes walk), and the central train station (about a 20-25 minute walk).

We are located directly next to the Beehive Centre, so shops such as Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and Asda are less than a 15 minute walk away, the river/Jesus Green are also within easy walking distance.

We share bills evenly, which typically sum to around £70/month each depending on the time of year. Our letting agent and landlord have been responsive at dealing with any issues we have encountered, which have typically been resolved within a couple days to a week.

We're looking for a long-term housemate (ideally a postgraduate student or a professional), who sees the house as a peaceful retreat rather than a party house, and we expect a reasonable, shared contribution to the upkeep of the common areas.
