We are a group of friends, most of who met by living in our five adjacent cottages and we are looking for someone to join us in the fifth cottage. Even though the opening is in one of the houses (with two housemates) we are very much a group, so moving in would be joining all of us in our adventures.
• The room is available from the 27th April
• It is semi-furnished (there are no bedside tables or desk but everything else is provided and the rest of the house is fully furnished)
• Rent is £464.74 pcm and includes water. Internet, electric, and council tax are additional (approximately £140 pcm)
• The house is on the old side but has plenty of character! We love our home very much. The other houses are charmingly quirky and characterful.

• Though technically in Trumpington, the town centre is 15 minutes away at a leisurely cycle speed, the train station is even closer, we're just down the road from Addenbrooke's Hospital, the M11 is a 5 minute drive away and housemates commute all over the city every day. It’s a pretty convenient location.
• We have off-road parking, a green space with apple trees and a hammock, and a garden where some of the housemates grow veg and pretty flowers.
• The kitchen is small, that is just a fact in the world. We've managed to feed 30 people out of three of the five kitchens for our annual thanksgivingmas dinner, so it can be done. With the size in mind there’s little room for additional furniture/stuff – just something to bear in mind if that’s something you have lots of.

• Between the five houses there are 12 people ranging from 23 to 35 in age with a roughly equal gender split and range of sexual identities.
•Your two potential housemates are from Wales and Cumbria - one is a PhD student and the other is an archaeologist working at the Fitzwilliam Museum and Wandlebury Ring.
• Other almost-housemates (in adjacent but technically separate houses) include an administrator, a punter (as in, down the river with a pole), various scientists, an illustrator, plant breeder and a costumier. We're also quite international, and past formations have included Australian, Bulgarian, Canadian, Hungarian, Italian, Scottish, French, Polish, Greek, German, Spanish, South African, Danish and US housemates). So a pretty varied bunch.
• We have a fairly high proportion of vegetarians, and both your potential housemates are vegetarian.
• We are a lot like a family; this means we really want to find someone who will be happy living here! We like to be quite social. People across the houses often eat together, go to the pub, play games, play guitar/ukulele and sing, have fires, watch films or tv, do sports, go swimming in the river and occasionally go on trips to places. It's not required to be social all the time, but we'd like to find someone who would find that aspect a positive thing. In that spirit, it's not first come first moving in.
What we are looking for:
• Someone who is nice, friendly, moderately tidy, and interested in joining in things (not that it's mandatory, just some of the time).
If you've got this far and are still interested, send me a message with a bit about yourself and when you are free to see the property. If you’re just looking for a place and not for people, this is probably not the right place.
Sorry, the room is no longer available
