One large fully furnished room in a 2 bedroom Victorian non-smoking house, located in a pleasant, peaceful residential area within walking distance of the river, colleges and city centre. The property is also ideally located for the West Cambridge site, vet school and BAS. Parking is available on Oxford Road, which is now in a residents' parking scheme.

The room is available for either long or short-term lets. The owner (professional female, academic, mentor to students) is resident some of the time but splits her time between Cambridge and Oxford so the lodger will usually have the sole use of the bathroom/kitchen/shared spaces, particularly during term.

The bedroom, which has recently been redecorated, has a new double bed and plenty of storage space (wardrobe, drawers, storage unit, bedside table and desk with drawers). There are blackout blinds and it overlooks the rear garden; it's a quiet place for studying.

Bed linen and towels can be provided, particularly for short-term lets, but should be laundered and returned after use.

The lodger will have access to a fully equipped modern kitchen, with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, range oven and plenty of pots/pans/crockery etc. There is a living room with two sofas, which the lodger can use.

There is a sheltered garden to the rear with patio furniture, perfect for summer dining, and a washing line. A request to keep a small number of house plants watered and window boxes and a few pots in the back garden during the summer/when I am away.

I am happy to consider weekly lodgers (mon-frid) or short term lets of a few months, particularly from international visitors coming to the University. The quoted rental rate is for longer term renting and rent will be adjusted accordingly for weekly lodgers or short term occupancy (weeks).

Household bills are included (water, energy - normal usage) and internet. Rental rate is for student lets, as council tax is not included. Deposit usually approx 1 month, but for short lets, I normally reduce this to help students, particularly those doing internships (case by case basis).
