We've got a large double room available from the 20th onwards in our renovated 3 bed flat on the 16th floor of a modern ex-council block overlooking Canary Wharf. The flat is a 10 minute walk from Canary Wharf Underground (24HR Jubilee line) and Westferry DLR and a 6 minute walk from South Quay DLR, and 16 mins from the wonderful Lizzie line! Local Gyms, cinemas, a small tesco/open late convenience store and plenty of good eats in the area. The flat is also two minutes from Thames path if you are a runner and like your dose of scenic running/cycle paths.

The flat has three rooms, of which only one is available! Initial deposit is one month rent and for the available room (the furthest right one on the floor plan) rent all bills included for part week rental (I. e. Mon-Fri is £900) we'd prefer part time, but full time is available too, for a higher price.

So, a quick summary as we see it;

Positives:
Newly renovated and modern interior! (You'll see its more open-plan than the floor plan. Walls between kitchen / living room and the bathroom/toilet have been taken down!)
Stunning views! Loads of Natural light and East facing for glorious morning sunshine, and mesmerising lights at night.
Clean maintained general areas in building, especially for an ex council flat
Plenty of stuff nearby, gyms - pure, nuffield, better, third space. Great Food - mid to upmarket dining and food stalls, close to the water, bars, two cinemas and a huge underground mall - I've been here 3 years and can still get lost in it.
Huge common area / living room
In grocery delivery zones - Sainsburys and ASDA for sure, maybe others but I haven't tried. Also 10 minute walk from two Tesco express and Co-op, 15 minutes to supersize M&S and Waitrose
Literally just above / 2 minutes away from a late opening convenience store 12:30-2am closing. It has everything. Like even really random stuff.
Fibre optic broadband Wifi included, ready to use.
TV, license paid, ready to use
Netflix and Now TV set up, ready to use
Double sofa bed in living room if you need a place for visiting friends or family to stay (ideally let us know in advance!)
Good washing machine and dryer for fast cleaned clothes.
Large fridge
Bath & Shower
Tons of storage built into the custom made beds
Balcony and living room with plants, and great views
A closet and a chest of drawers in your room plus more storage available in communal areas.
Custom-made beds with comfy mattresses with storage and charging stations under so you have more floorspace in your room
Cleaner comes ever other week.
Potential cons:
70s brutalist exterior concrete highrise - some people like that kind of thing I personally don't
Small metal council-ey lift to get up to the 16th floor - not for claustrophobes!
Only one toilet
Single glazed windows.
Not suitable for people over 6ft tall as the custom beds might be a bit short for you! (Couple inches off normal length of beds, but just as wide.) It fits snuggly in the end of the room, and the distance between the walls is 183cm/6ft exactly.
£20 extra cash every other week for your contribution for the cleaner. This is the only other cost above rent, everything else included.

About us:

I'm lizzie. I live here with Dan, who joined through Spare Room several years ago. We're basically family now!
I've lived all over, mostly in developing countries when I was growing up and I think generally as a result like meeting new people and hearing new stories.
I'm a freelancer with longer-term work comes and goes with the profession, and family abroad so I travel a lot, so you'll have both periods when I'm around and periods where you have it to yourself as I'm elsewhere.

Dan works in finance and is away a lot too at his partners.

About the ideal you:
Easy to get along with!
Clean in communal areas (what you do in your room is up to you!)
Ideally not a wild party-er either (well, you could be by all means but externally, and not hosting at the flat all the time!)
Ideally not a smoker - just because of the smell, but if you are - balcony please!
If you are interested in a part-week rental where you only commute in for a few days get in touch - we'd favor this, as for the most part we like our independence too!
Okay with dogs as we occasionally foster from Battersea - (you won't have to be involved in the care though unless you want to!)
