Double Room in a Fantastic Flat Next to Langdon Park!
I’ll try to add as much detail as possible, but the TL; DR is that this is the best apartment/room I could wish for, and I’m only moving out because I’m moving in with my fiancé.
LOCATION: As you’ll evidently see from the pictures, the building is literally next to Langdon Park Station (less than a one-minute walk from the door to the station entrance). All Saints and Devons Road DLR stations are also less than a 10-minute walk away, whilst Bow Road and Canary Wharf stations are approximately 15 minutes away.
BUILDING: The building (Lamington Heights) is part of a four-building development and benefits from a 24/7 concierge, a spacious gym, a lovely terrace with a playground, and more.
FLAT: The flat is a three-bedroom apartment. You will be sharing the bathroom with only one other flatmate. It comes with all the usual modern white goods, including a washing machine and dishwasher, but also has some other great amenities, such as a dedicated filtered water line, a 75+ inch TV, two balconies, and ample storage.
ROOM: The room comes with a new bed and mattress (literally less than two months old), which I personally picked out with the landlord. It also comes with a nice full-sized desk and office chair and, quite unbelievably, its own desktop monitor for you to use. There is also a hanging wardrobe and an additional storage unit.
FLATMATES: Jonah (who works at EY), Venkatesh (who works at Chase Bank), and I get along really well. They’re both quite relaxed in the sense that you’re not expected or forced to hang out or do anything together, but at the same time, they’re great company and we do make plans together, whether that’s going out to eat, having drinks, or doing an activity.
VIEWINGS: Message and I’m happy to arrange a viewing on most days after 5pm, or during the weekend. Message me anyway should one of those times not work and we’ll see what we can do
BILLS: As a rough estimate, bills come out to be about £110 - £135 I would say. To NOTE - the deposit is actually £1184 as it was an equal split between the three tenants.
MOVE IN: The move in date is 1st of October, and we wouldn’t be able to push it further as my tenancy at new place will start by then.
