This is a large, light, furnished double room upstairs in a comfortable, detached chalet bungalow. The house is at the end of a private road in a quiet area, with off-road parking, and was completely refurbished in 2017 including a new kitchen, bathroom and heating system.

There's a good-sized garden and patio, which the tenant is welcome to use, and a music room and conservatory. An acoustic musician would be welcome to use the music room for practice. There are wonderful walks over the fields and mountain close by, and the nearest bus stop is a minute or so's walk away.

I work from home as a journalist and writing tutor and also manage websites for clients. I have a very friendly, medium-sized dog, so it's essential that any prospective tenant is comfortable with animals. I can't accommodate cats, but a well behaved small to medium-sized dog would be possible as long as it got on with mine, and I have no objection to other pets as long as they're properly looked after. I'm looking for only one tenant so it'll be just the two of us in the house, though I do have family who visit sometimes.

This room would suit a professional who likes a quiet life at home and the occasional interesting conversation, or could suit a post-grad student. It's only 15mins on the train from Caerphilly to Cardiff, and buses run from Bedwas to Caerphilly Station every 15mins.
