I have a extra large double room available in a large Victorian house.


This is a 6 bedroom house, but only 3 are used. There are 3 people in the house, myself (the owner) and two housesharers. (This includes the person who ends up in this room.)

This is a single occupancy room. It is not suitable for couples or families. I cannot make exceptions to this. There will be three single adults in the house.
The room is en suite and you have access to the rest of the shared house facilities.

Available for a long term let of 6 months or more, the room is available at £600 per calendar month.

I would require references and ID checks will be made.

Long term lets are subject to a deposit of £450 which can be paid over two instalments. Deposits are refundable.

This room is also available for short term of less than 6 months at £175 per week paid in advance with an employer's or contract reference. A refundable deposit of 2 weeks (£350) would be required against damage or loss for the duration of your stay.

This is a no-smoking house.


This is not a tenancy. This is a bill share arrangement only as I am a house owner, not a landlord.

The houseshare price is for all bills and council tax and fast broadband WiFi connection.
The house is over three floors with a large communal kitchen and bathroom with large spa bath on the ground floor. There is not much of a garden, but certainly enough for lounging around in the summer if we actually have one.

The room has a private en suite shower room, and the main bathroom has a large double spa bath for occassional use.
The house is in central Barry and is very close to the train station and main bus area. Trains and buses run regularly to Cardiff and the train journey is just over 15 minutes.
The house is ideally situated for mature students or commuters.

The room is fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe, chests and work space furniture. Bedding and towels come with the room along with tea and coffee making facilities.

There is a large very well gadget-stocked kitchen, including dishwasher, and American style fridge freezer that dispenses fresh cooled water and ice.

There is separate laundry area between the kitchen and main bathroom. The laundry area has individual washing and drying machines and also two washing lines in the garden if you prefer this drying method.

We are a happy household, friendly, easy going, sociable, sensible and clean and would like to find someone similar to join us. We are both professionals and would like someone with a similar mindset.
