The Homeshare Opportunity:

We are delighted to offer this new Homeshare opportunity to live comfortably and affordably in the heart of central London, in return for providing some practical support and companionship (approximately 10 - 15 hours per week) to an older lady, and a reassuring overnight presence.
No personal care is required or permitted.

In return for the low-cost accommodation (only £199 per month), we are looking to match our lovely homeowner with a friendly and kind mature female sharer who is happy to provide a little practical help and some companionship.

Our homeowner is in her 90s and is a friendly, sociable, easy-going and welcoming lady who has always enjoyed an active life and her independence. Her husband passed away a long time ago and over the years since, she has shared her home with friends and family on many occasions. Both her children live nearby, and she sees them regularly.

She now leads a quieter life, still going out with her family a few times a week and otherwise pottering around in her flat, cooking, reading, popping down to the shops or upstairs on her own to enjoy the roof terrace. Since she had a fall last summer, she uses a walking frame for safety. She also keeps up with the news and likes watching The Chase, and Agatha Christie dramas.

Our homeowner would like to share her home mainly for peace of mind that she is not alone at night, but also for a little companionship and friendship. She has had an interesting life and has lots of stories to share.

Practical support might include keeping the kitchen tidy, hanging a little laundry, helping with tasks that she finds difficult such as reaching things, local errands, and basic IT support. She cooks for herself in the evening and would be happy to share some meals if the sharer would like.

The ideal sharer will be a mature lady (min age 40+) friendly, with a good sense of humour and positive attitude, who might be working part-time, or on a flexible basis and who is happy to spend some spare time together and provide a little help if needed.

Our Homeowner is Jewish and keeps a kosher home so no pork or shellfish can be eaten in the home.

*A non- smoker and no pets please*

We are looking to match this opportunity very soon so if it is of interest, please get in touch with us ASAP preferably by email and tell us about yourself, your work/studies schedule and why you would be well suited to this particular opportunity. We are expecting a lot of interest in this opportunity and will only be able to reply to messages that meet this criteria. Thank you for your understanding.

**Cost: £199 per month**

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the Homeowner. Bills are included, although you may be asked to make a modest contribution to the Homeowner towards the energy bills, and council tax if you are working.

We are a social enterprise facilitating Homeshare matches across London and surrounding areas. We match people who live alone and need some practical support and company, with mature adults wanting affordable accommodation who are happy to provide some companionship and practical support in return for a safe place to live. No personal care is permitted.
