I’m going abroad for around five months and I’m looking to sublet my room while I’m away. I expect to be back around 15 April 2027. I’m looking for someone to stay for a minimum of three months, although ideally I’d like to find someone interested in staying for most or all of the period.

The room is unusually large for central London, bright, comfortable and fully furnished. It has a queen size bed, two sofas, an armchair, TV, a large desk/workspace, chest of drawers and wardrobe.

Because of its size, the room has distinct sleeping, working and sitting areas, so it is particularly comfortable for someone who works from home or simply wants more than a standard London bedroom.

I will of course clear some space for whoever stays, but storage will be limited to the wardrobe, chest of drawers and some additional space, so the room is best suited to someone travelling relatively light rather than someone moving with a large amount of belongings.

The room is in a three bedroom apartment in a well established residential building on the South Bank. The flat has a fully equipped kitchen, a main bathroom with bath and shower, plus a separate second toilet and sink. No livingroom.

I share the flat with two male flatmates in their mid twenties to early thirties. They are both friendly, clean and considerate, and the atmosphere in the flat is relaxed and respectful.

The building has a 24 hour concierge, professional building management, a terrace and well maintained communal areas. There is also a Waitrose immediately downstairs.

Location:

The location is exceptional. The apartment is just off the Thames, close to Blackfriars Bridge, with much of central London within walking distance.

Blackfriars, Southwark and Waterloo stations are all within easy walking distance, approximately 10 minutes, giving access to the Jubilee, Bakerloo, Northern, District and Circle lines, National Rail and numerous bus routes.

There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, shops, gyms, cultural venues and other amenities nearby.

The sublet:

The rent is £1,600 per month, including all bills.

I’m looking for someone clean, considerate and respectful of a shared home. A professional or mature student looking for a comfortable temporary base in central London would be ideal.

The minimum stay is three months, with the room available for approximately five months while I am away.

The sublet will be arranged with my landlord’s approval. If we both feel it could be a good fit, I’ll put you directly in touch with him to discuss the formalities.

If you’re interested, please send me a little information about yourself, what you do, when you would like to move in and how long you are looking to stay.
