I have a double room available immediately in my maisonette just off Lavender Hill. The room is furnished with a double bed, desk and chair, wardrobe, chest of drawers, 2 bedside cabinets

The place is a 2 bed with living room, kitchen and south facing garden with trees and plants. 1 bathroom and separate toilet to be shared between us both.

Rent- £920PCM includes council tax, broadband and water but EXCLUDES gas/electric. This is usually not hugely expensive. I will also include a fortnightly cleaner within the rent payment. I will also require a deposit up front.

About me- I'm Chris, I'm a 35 year old Surveyor who is into travelling whenever I find the time and money, racquet sports (I play badminton and squash regularly), cycling and running, football fan. Also interested in live music, gigs, alternative music (I often have BBC 6music on in the background!) Hopefully pretty easy going on most things and straight forward to live with(!) Outgoing and sociable.

I'm hoping that someone coming in is going to be a good companion and want to spend some time hanging out (although respecting each others personal space and privacy as well). The living room and kitchen are a shared space and I'm usually pretty sociable. Cleanliness and security conscious is a must! (I'm usually about 7/10 on cleaning hence why I'm suggesting we share a fortnightly cleaner!

Single occupants only please. Male or female roughly 31-36ish. Clearly partners can stay over but the place is not suitable for a couple to share. Probably this suits a professional with a similar working pattern to me (ie 9 to 6ish rather than night shifts). There is no "minimum term" as such. But im hoping that anyone who comes in would be intending to stay for at least 6 months. No agency fees. I'll ask the Lodger to pay a deposit to me and sign, provide passport details and lodging contract.

The place is on a Local Authority Council estate, but it's usually pretty quiet and safe. The flat is modernised, pretty comfortable and spacious. About 12 mins walk from Clapham junction. Bus stop at the top of the road with buses to Vauxhall and Clapham Common.
