Priti Patel is sending our beloved flatmate Amanda back to Trump’s America so we have a beautiful ensuite room available for long-term let in our Homerton home from late the end of March.
The room is a large, double room on the top floor of our 3-storey home, it comes with its own en-suite and overlooks our freshly re-decked garden and further out towards the Olympic Park. The room is spacious and bright and comes furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and generously sized wardrobe for all your gladrags.
We live on a quiet street in Homerton, an 8 minute walk away from the Overground and a 3-minute walk from the cuteness of Chatsworth Road.
The house has a living room, massive kitchen/dining room, a garden, 2 bathrooms and a WC (in addition to the en-suite).
We also have the luxury of a guest/games room which can be used for friends and family staying, or as an office for those working from home.
We’ve lived here for four years now and have made it our home, so we’re looking for people that would fit in the family and would like to join us in domestic bliss.
Amenities and perks include the occasional projector movie night, a well-stocked kitchen, the lifeworks of Nigella Lawson, a barbecue and disco light, a million board games and the odd espresso martini night.
We are aged 26-29, all work full time (in magazines, toothpaste and an LGBT charity) and are all sociable and friendly. You will be sharing with two Scots and a Greek, so no Tories please. We are also an LGBT+ household, so potential flatmates must be fine with that!
Bills come to less than £100 and include all the essentials plus a cleaner.
The room costs £945 pcm + bills, which come to less than £125 per person and include a fortnightly cleaner for all communal areas in the house.
Move-in date is the 1st of April (can be earlier if needed) and first viewings will be held within the next couple of weeks..
Other Important Information:
Accessibility - the room is on the third floor of a three storey house, and there are 2 external steps into the house and 30 steps total up to the bedroom (and 4 steps down into the Kitchen area). The house uses a doorbell and there is no video/phone entry system.
Tenancy type - The house is a Private Let with our landlord, Chris, so no Savills bullshit. We three are current tenants on the contract and are looking to replace the exiting flatmate on the contract. The contract runs for a year with a two month notice you can serve if you wish to leave before that time.
Referencing and Benefits - There is a referencing process and flatmates must have an annual income of at least £25,000 or can provide a Guarantor with this income. These references are conducted individually and the three of us have already undertaken the process, and so the new flatmate on the contract must be able to pass the referencing process.
