Hello! We’re on the lookout for someone to share our bright, cosy two-bedroom flat in Clapton, as our current flatmate is sadly moving south of the river.

The room available is a double in a fully furnished flat right on Chatsworth Road, surrounded by great pubs, cafés, bakeries and the weekend market. Millfields Park and Hackney Marshes are just around the corner, and London Fields and Victoria Park are about a 25-minute walk away.

We’re ideally looking for someone friendly, chilled and respectful who likes dogs. We’d love to live with someone we can genuinely be friends with - happy hanging out over a cosy dinner or glass of wine, grabbing a coffee or going for a walk - but who is also very comfortable doing their own thing.

A bit about us: I’m Holly, from Aus/NZ (30, work for a charity), my boyfriend Damien is from NZ, 32 and works in tech, and we have Nala, our very sweet 1.5-year-old Cavapoo. We’re big travellers, love good coffee and hiking, are completely obsessed with Nala, and both have fairly busy lives, so we like home to feel chilled, cosy and relaxed.

The setup is slightly unusual. We’re heading away for a few months from around September-November, so whoever moves in will initially have the larger bedroom and will have the flat largely to themselves, alongside a lovely, fun Aussie girl who is staying in the other room for part of that time. Once we’re back, you’d move into the other bedroom.

From next year, we expect to be out of London for around six months each year (doing a 50/50 split in Europe), so you’d have the flat mostly to yourself for big chunks of the year. So it would suit someone who likes the idea of a friendly, social home when we’re around, but also values having lots of independence and their own space.
