I am looking for a new flatmate to share a bright, modern flat with me near De Beauvoir Town. I work as a freelance film director, so I am working from home most of the week. I am a mix of social and quiet, love having friends over for dinner or film nights, but also enjoy my down time. The flat has a peaceful vibe. The loudest thing you will hear is a duck from the canal, with lots of natural light and a great view.
I am into cooking, films, and the occasional gaming session, though my console is gathering dust right now. I am pretty easy-going when it comes to house stuff. I have no rigid cleaning schedule, but I do like to keep things tidy. There is a shared sitting room, a kitchen, and a balcony to relax on. You would also have your own bathroom, so there is plenty of privacy.
The neighbourhood is chilled and quiet, with some great pubs and restaurants nearby. Dalston is just a 15-minute walk away, and there are plenty of buses plus a 5-minute walk to the Overground, which connects to the Elizabeth Line.
I am looking for a flatmate with a similar vibe, someone who appreciates a balance between socialising and peaceful evenings. There are no strict house rules, just mutual respect for keeping the shared spaces clean. Overnight guests are cool, and I am always up for a good chat or shared meal when our schedules align.
We pay rent on the 14th of every month. My current flatmate is moving out on the 10th of May, so the new flatmate will have to pay three days pro rata plus the deposit and rent.
