Three bedroom cottage next to Dalbeattie woods. Nice quiet area to live in with a big garden. It's a good location for someone into the outdoors with access to the coast, hills and mountain biking.

There are two spare rooms, a double and a single, both furnished. The rent covers the room, use of the communal areas, appliances, cleaning products and all bills. It does not include food, personal cleaning products, laundry detergent or bedding.

I'm 36 years old and work at an outdoor activity centre just outside Castle Douglas. I own the house and keep it in good condition. The place is generally clean and tidy and I expect lodgers to clean up after themselves. I'm pretty easy going, honest and trustworthy and expect the same in return. I like living with other people but work quite long hours in the summer and also tend to spend a bit of time on my own so not around all the time. I prefer to live with people who are laid back, easy to get on with and quiet in the evenings.

There's no TV licence but the internet is fibre and fast enough to stream without any trouble. The central heating and hot water are run from a solid fuel stove, during the winter it can be a cold house if you are used to automatic central heating. The heating/hot water is only on when the fire is on and the use of an additional electric heater is not included in the rent. During the summer the fire is off so apart from an electric shower and the kettle there's no hot water. Please note that it is a cold house in the winter, the house doesn't hold the heat well and the heating doesn't come on automatically so the mornings are often quite chilly.

Dalbeattie is a quiet area about 15 minutes out of Dumfries. The house is a few minutes walk to the bus stop with regular busses into Dumfries and Castle Douglas (bus no. 501)
