I’m looking for a lovely new flatmate to join me in my bright, peaceful home overlooking the canal in Haggerston :)

THE FLAT

The flat is modern, beautifully maintained and lovingly decorated, with a fantastic canal-side location.

There’s a bright open-plan kitchen/living room with modern appliances, TV, WiFi, a large dining table and a big comfy sofa. Skylights and full-length glass doors open onto a flower-filled balcony overlooking the canal, with lovely views across London.

The available room is a bright double bedroom with canal-facing views. The main bathroom is shared with just me, while the other bedroom has its own en-suite.

LOCATION

The flat is less than a minute from Haggerston Overground, with excellent bus connections, including night buses into Central London.

There’s secure bike storage in the building, with rental bikes directly outside. Yoga, restaurants and bars are right downstairs, while Tesco Express and Lidl are just a couple of minutes away.

London Fields and its open-air swimming pool are nearby, as are Hackney City Farm, Broadway Market, Columbia Road and Brick Lane. Shoreditch and Dalston are also easily accessible.

ABOUT ME

I’m friendly, warm and sociable. I love good food, travelling, being in nature, the gym, yoga, walking along the canal, markets and reading. My biggest passion is surfing.

I often travel and sometimes work abroad seasonally. When I’m away for longer periods, I sublet my room. I’m very respectful of shared space and always mindful of other people’s routines and privacy.

THE HOME & FLATMATE VIBE

Home for me is a little sanctuary from the busyness of everyday life - somewhere to come back to, switch off, recharge and feel at ease. I’d love to find someone who feels the same and would enjoy creating a warm, welcoming home together.

It would be lovely to have a friendly atmosphere - cooking together, having a chat in the kitchen or sharing a glass of wine - while also being comfortable doing our own thing and giving each other space and quiet time.

I’m hoping to find someone kind, mature, respectful and easy-going, who is naturally clean and tidy, considerate of shared spaces and takes pride in keeping their home nice.

Friends and partners are very welcome from time to time. I’d just like to keep the flat feeling like a peaceful home rather than somewhere with lots of people coming and going or a regular party flat.

Ideally, you’ll work outside the home for at least some of the week, although working from home 1–2 days is absolutely fine.

There is one other bedroom in the flat, so there will be three of us. I’d love it to feel like a genuinely friendly, relaxed home where everyone can unwind, recharge and have their own privacy.
