Bright Double Room in Canal-Side Flat – Haggerston / Kingsland Basin

I’m looking for a lovely housemate to move into my second bedroom in a modern, peaceful flat right on Kingsland Basin by the Regent’s Canal. It’s a 7-minute walk to Haggerston Overground (Windrush Line), surrounded by amazing bars, pubs and restaurants - perfectly placed for East London life.

The flat:
• Modern block on the canal, 4th and top floor
• West-facing balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard - amazing afternoon sun and sunsets, especially in summer
• Shared kitchen, living room and bathroom
• Rent £1200 including all bills (Hackney council tax, water, heating, TV license etc). Find this easier upfront and any remainder will go towards cleaning products / house supplies etc.

The room:
• Small but cosy double room with bed frame and wardrobe
• Tons of storage for a small flat: you’ll have a coat cupboard entirely to yourself and at least half (if not more!) of a huge storage cupboard (it goes back way further than it looks in the photo)

About me:
I’m Jessy, 32, and work in PR for restaurants/chefs. I mostly work from home (in the office about twice a week) and I’m out a lot in the evenings and weekends. I love music (used to work in the industry), food, travelling, running and staying active, theatre, and making the most of London culture. I see friends a lot but also enjoy my chill time at home.

Who I’m looking for:
A lovely, considerate housemate who helps keep the place clean and tidy (bins, general household bits, etc.). Someone friendly who’s up for catching up over dinner and a glass of wine, but who also values downtime and respects each other’s need for space.

Non-smokers only, please. The room is quite small and wouldn’t fit a desk, so it would best suit someone who mainly works from the office.

Move-in:
Flexible, but ideally around the beginning of April.
