We're Robert, Rachael, and Jack, seeking someone to join us on the house-sharing adventure! We're looking to make the most of living together, making the house a warm and inviting place, having friends round and guests staying from time to time.

It's the ideal house for shared living in many ways, and has a homely appeal due to previous housemates that have lived here making their mark on the place over the years. There have been many dinner parties, film nights, barbecues, music sessions etc here, and hopefully you will want to be involved in more of that in the future.

Robert is currently retraining as an electrical, renewable energy and ventilation specialist, following a career in IT; Rachael works in a climbing centre and also runs and performs at poetry events; and Jack works for John Lewis/Waitrose.

We don't have any fixed ideas of what our new housemates will be in terms of age/gender, work or interests, although if these things align that's obviously a bonus. But we are hoping home is important to you and you're looking for somewhere to nest, willing to share in order to be part of something. We're looking for someone who values relationships and is prepared to put effort into connecting and communicating when things don't just 'click', which in an age-, gender-, and neuro-diverse household is bound to happen from time to time.

We keep a meat-free kitchen, although that doesn't preclude people eating whatever they want outside the house or even getting a cheeky takeaway from time to time. We have a food-sharing culture in the house, which can vary depending on who's living here at the time. We each tend to cook a shared meal around once per week, other nights people are out or do their own thing. We have a bulk-buying system where we each pay a contribution and someone ensures that soya/oat milk, tins of tomatoes, pasta, toilet rolls, etc are always in. Other things people just replace as they're used up; the kitchen is usually well-stocked. We'll be happy to talk about this and make adjustments in accordance with a new housemate's needs.

As a household we're conscious of our environmental footprint. We make an effort to minimise waste (including food waste), repair and recycle. We're relatively frugal with our energy use - but not to the extent of making ourselves miserable. And we have a woodburner! So we can keep warm for free if we collect and process firewood. There's the potential to do more in the garden, too.

The rent doesn't include bills, which come to £145 each per month (a bit higher than average because it's a larger than average house!). Council tax is band D.
