Hello I'm Amy,

I'm a Yorkshire lass enjoying life on the Kentish coast after living in London for 10 years. I am looking for a lodger and am fairly open-minded after living with a range of people over the last few years in various places in the UK.

I rent a lovely two bed flat with a garden, which I have furnished myself. I work full time as an architect, and when I'm not working I am typically out flying gliders (planes without engines), or having a sea swim in my spare time. I am friendly and chatty, keep things clean but am average on tidiness. I am looking for someone who is reasonably sociable to share this great space with.

I live in the centre of St Margarets village which has a lovely pub (great food), corner shop, post office, hairdresser and beautician, and a couple of cafes. There is a gorgeous beach ten minutes walk away, another pub and the Pines calyx gardens. It feels like being on holiday every day here! The village is on the white cliff walks in between Deal and Dover and it is very easy to get to other places on the motorways or using the railway and high speed to London (50 minutes). Car parking is within the centre of the village and there are local buses, cycle routes, and many walking paths to get around.

The house has a kitchen with a breakfast bar, a large living room, a bathroom, two bedrooms, and a silly amount of corridor (it is a mish-mash of two historic houses). It has a lot of daylight and has a double heighted ceiling in the living room, which looks out onto the garden where I grow some edible plants, and keep my friendly bantams (mini hens that lay fresh eggs!). Please do ask about pets if you have one.

The house is characterful and quite old but between two people it is plenty of space.

I am offering a double bed room with a window that looks out into the village square but is not overlooked. It is furnished with a double bed, a large shelving area with a wardrobe / adjustable shelving unit built in, and a desk and stool if you need one. There is not much room for extra furniture and I don't have off-site storage.

I have fast BT broadband and gas, electricity, water, council tax are included. The house is council tax band C and I do not have a TV license.

Apologies but I will not consider couples, single occupancy only please. It is also a first floor flat with no level access which may be a factor to consider for those with mobility issues.

I will consider short lets, such as contractors working in the area.
